Hello and thanks for visiting my site, My name is Brian Horton and I am a fellow Woodcraftsmen and Acoustic Musician.
Forty plus years ago, on a whim, I took up woodworking as a career. I instantly fell in love. I'm fascinated by using only my hands and tools to create one of a kind pieces of art and furniture to become a part of your home. As you can see by my tool chest and workbench, I take great pride in my craft and have been a collector of fine handcrafted tools for over 40 years. When I am not in the shop, I can be found in the recording studio. I am an independent recording artist with over 25 albums released over my 40 years of recording and performing. Process
Each piece is designed to fit the space and according to your requests. I start with a consultation to find out what type of piece you're looking for. Then, I create design sketches, Unfortunately the wood tells you what the final piece will look like.
Guarantee
I create pieces you can enjoy for years to come. If you ever encounter a design flaw or craftsmanship issue, I will fix or replace the piece–you only pay shipping. Wood has a mind of its own and no two pieces are alike as far as grain, figure, movement.
No Two Alike
When mounting a log onto the lathe, the most incredible thing occurs, what you think you are going to create often changes. You have to listen to the wood on what it wants to be based upon grain, inclusions, internal figure and retaining the bard on a natural edge. No two pieces are alike. Its a true passion!
